Erik, We're Glad You Were Born (Part 2)

Part 2 started with a group of us going to the store to get some essentials for a successful tailgate party!Old Brandon has a hard time waiting...and Kevin took his time to check-out.
Erin and Cooper
When we got back from the store, we set up camp out in the back corner of the parking lot. A security guard gave us grief at first but we soon got rid of him...hater. Chad quickly stepped in as chef and got the meat started.

Jon is the newest member of our team and he started on the floor just in the nick of time! Paula is making him feel welcome!
Kevin and Larry just hanging out
Birthday boy! The food was awesome!

Erik, We're Glad You Were Born (Part 1)

Why just celebrate a birthday once? We couldn't see the point in that, so we celebrated Erik's birthday in two parts over two days!Erik is just SO excited to get older - he's on the phone right now trying to get a Northeast Enrollment Award named after him.

Yoda provides Autumn with helpful insights, so he was invited to the pumpkin pie gathering.

Kevin is all smiles after his pumpkin pie - he was still tasting the pie hours after the rest of us with that handy 'taste saver' stash he's got going.

Erin enjoying her slice of Pumpkin pie!

Lou was trying to escape this photo, but did not succeed.
Ashley in her cube - those are all Kevin's awards on the front of the cube! New BrandonLarry and his kiddoWe made sure to get a photo of Chad so he can stop complaining about not being in any of the photos!! :)

Do We Work or What?

Erin has started a trend with bows! Cooper and Kevin were the first ones to jump in, but they won't be the last! The Brandons have been eying a few bows from Target and Erik's girls are missing a few of their favorite bows...Kevin is also sporting his Movember StashREGing out in comfort! Autumn's cube buddy likes to work with comfort and ease.

Four Peaks

As is the quarterly tradition, Team Scharff enjoyed a lunch out on the company's dime!
Chad couldn't keep his hands off Larry's knee and Erik revealed he has a deathly allergy to pecans.

Brandon and Cooper were soaking up the sun, while Kevin and Ken were enjoying their shade.

The food was delicious!

Celebration for Cooper!

It was Cooper's birthday so we went to Oregano's to celebrate!!
Cooper and Ken were the only two aware this picture was going on...

Autumn, Kevin, Chad, and Old Brandon - waiting for food isn't really a strength of Kevin's.

Chris, Cooper, Lyndsay, and Ken. I believe Chris was also celebrating his birthday!

Logan and Paula enjoying the beautiful AZ weather!!

New Brandon and Chris.

Matt, Matty, and Erik

Hairnets and Churros

Some of the girls (Cooper, Erin, and Autumn) on the team went to Costco and picked up a hairnet and churro for Erik - per his request.
The hairnet protects his hair from the harsh surface of his headset.

Do not disturb the animals while they are feeding.

St. Mary's Food Bank!!

Team Scharff participated in a volunteer project orchestrated by our campus C.O.R.E. group.

All 108 of the individuals from our campus gathered for the briefing before we were separated into smaller groups. We found out that St. Mary's was the first Food Bank in the world, 1 in 5 children wake-up and go to sleep hungry, 1 in 7 adults (18-64) has to decide between eating or buying gas, and 1 in 12 seniors (64+) is struggling with bills/medical needs/food. It was great to know we could make a positive impact on our community - and have fun while doing it!
Getting directions from our leader on how to tape/prep boxes...
Cooper, Ashley, Kevin, Erin, and Logan on the assembly line taping up boxes.Autumn, Erin, and Cooper - getting down and dirty with volunteer work!!
Brandon, Larry, and new Brandon re-grouping and waiting for our next assignment after we taped/prep'ed the boxes.
Erik and Paula, having fun in between assignments.
We put fliers in the boxes and started to fill them with food and drinks!
We got a break for a few minutes while our group leader figured out what she needed us to do.
Autumn doing her part - perfectly!
Let's get this thing started! and let's get Cooper away from the buttons!
Larry and new Brandon relaxing after pushing product and loading boxes!!
Group leader and Ken - we assembled 22 palates, which is 4,840 lbs of food. According to our group leader, an adult eats about a pound of food in a sitting, so that's a lot of people we were able to help!!!
A hard days work...let's leave knowing we are fabulous!!
After we worked hard, we stopped and got food. What a fun day!!
